All rescue devices kept for emergencies must be checked once a year, even if they have not been used. The SEAL PAC makes this regular inspection easier. The MILAN device is stored in a specially sealed aluminium box. An authorised inspector opens the box once a year and checks the moisture indicator on the MILAN packaging to make sure it is in good condition. If it is in good condition, the inspector marks the month and year of the next inspection, signs and seals the metal box once more with a SEAL PAC seal. This makes the inspection process easier, saving time and money, and there is no need for any expensive transport. The SEAL PAC can be used for 10 years. It is possible to re-seal the pack once after 10 years, giving an overall life time of 20 years maximum.
